How to prepare for NEHU mphil/phd entrance exam.

NEHU -North -Eastern Hill University, is a central University in Shillong , Meghalaya, India.
Syllabus for NEHU mphil/phd entrance-
-The University does not provide with any syllabus regarding the concerned exam. As per my experience based on previous year question papers, following are the syllabus that I have prepared for you all with best of my knowledge.Since,I m a history major student, I can elaborately discuss about the syllabus for the Phil/phd entrance exam of the history department.

       1.Ancient Indian History.                          

         2.Medieval Indian History.
         3.Modern Indian History.
         4.historiography (Ancient,Modern,medieval)
         5.Research proposal/ Synopsis.
Books to read- 
1. Ancient Indian Historyistory- R.S Sharma
2.Medieval Indian History- Satish Chandra.
3.Modern Indian History- Bipan Chandra.
4.E.H carr- what is history, for modern indian  historiography read - spectrum.
